What does the green dot in the chat or the circle with the A mean?

The circle to the left of the player's name in the chat shows the online status of that player. There are the following meanings:

Green dot = The player is online

Circle with A = The player is temporarily not active (no mouse movement for one minute)

Circle without content = The player is currently offline.
